On May 3rd 2008 CAMRA Aberdeen came to visit the brewery & as well as sampling ALL the various beers, we were presented with Aberdeen Camra Champion beer of the festival for 'Solway Mist' (wheat beer 5.5% ABV).

Everyone including Sulwath staff & customers had a fantastic day in the brewery tap.

On May 5th 2008 Sulwath introduced a new beer to celebrate our local football team 'Queen of The South FC' reaching the Scottish cup final.

This is a light mild beer 4.3% ABV called Palmerston Pride, After the football ground where the team play.

At this point it is proving extremely difficult to keep up with demand, but we have never been unable to deliver yet!

We are currently gearing up for our 7th annual beer festival at the brewery on May 23rd & 24th. As always, there is no admission fee.

If previous years are anything to go by, it will be another sun kissed beer fest at Castle Douglas.

There will be guest beers available as well as some weston's Perry cider.

This also coincides with Castle Douglas Food Town Day on May 24th. So there is something for every body, young & old admission is free.
